Plant Operator

Job Purpose

Position will be cross-trained in and responsible for operating mobile equipment, plant equipment, and working in the wash and dry plant running PLC board while maintaining a clean work place. Employee will be expected to operate all equipment in a safe manner.  As a result, basic mechanical skills are required for maintenance of equipment and assistance to overall plant maintenance.

Supervision

Each employee is responsible for ethical and professional behavior in conjunction with their job and day-to-day operations.  This position does not have direct supervision over other individuals, although they may be involved in mentoring and assisting trainees and/or interns.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate all equipment associated with Job tasks. (Loader skidsteer,Material Handler, haul truck, etc.)
• Operation and knowledge of startup / shut down procedures
• Assist maintenance department in maintaining the plant
• General labor, as needed.
• Ability to receive medical clearance to wear respiratory protection.
• Willingness to both provide and receive suggestions for job and plant improvement.
