Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant (FULL TIME) – Urgent Care/Family Practice- URGENTLY HIRING
Mon-Friday 9am-6pm- NO WEEKENDS
Must be able to train immediately.

Position Overview:
- The Primary Care/ Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is a position that fulfills the role of clinical team leader.

Responsibilities/ Duties:
- Assesses patient status by obtaining health history through patient/family interviews and chart reviews; assessing presenting illness, risk factors, and family history; and performing appropriate physical examination.
- Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including but not limited to laboratory test, radiographic test, and EKGs. Seek other information as needed, including consultation with physicians and other clinicians, for evaluation of illness. Integrates data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan, including identification of any health risks.
- Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medicine.
- Perform accurate and timely documentation of histories, subjective findings, physical exam, plans, prescriptions and follow up in Electronic Health Records System within a timely manner.
- Perform procedures including laceration repair, I & D’s, IV’s removal of foreign bodies, splinting and casting, ear irrigations.
- Perform pre employment and on the job injury evaluations.
- Utilize teaching opportunities with patients through verbal and written form and document in record.
- Maintain up to date knowledge base for medical conditions and injuries that may present to a family practice and urgent care setting.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality.
- Participate in clinical oversight to ensure staff practices safe, competent and efficient standards of care.
- Assurance that clinical setting is functional and equipped for daily patient care.
- Ongoing monitoring and adjustment of processes responsible for smooth and effective patient flow.
- Assist with the facilitation of team meetings with focus on issues and functionality of clinic.
- Report clinical staff concerns to the Clinic Manager.
- Assist with annual performance review of medical staff.
- Assist with the training and onboarding of new Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants.
- Complete ongoing training to all midlevel providers.
- Work closely with our Billing department; understand how to properly bill and code for services provided.
- Take inventory of medical supplies and order as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Hours: Full Time (NO WEEKENDS)
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in the Family Practice and Urgent Care setting.
- Demonstration of Clinical Competence.
Educational/ Licensure/ Certifications Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program approved by the state of CA
- Current RN License, FNP/PA certificate and furnishing number.
- Current CPR certification, ACLS, PALS certification required.
- Current DEA license.
