Are you a veterinary client service representative or receptionist and looking for an amazing opportunity in a new veterinary business in Maine? If so, here’s your opportunity!

Mainely Veterinary Dentistry LLC is looking to add a veterinary client service representative (CSR) to the team at our location in Windham, Maine. We opened in December and have seen a tremendous response and need to add to the team. We offer advanced, high quality veterinary dentistry for cats and dogs.

The ideal applicant is a team player with strong communication skills and work ethic – we like to work hard and go home on time. Applicant will ideally have 1 year of experience in the veterinary industry but training can be provided for the right candidate. While duties will be focused on client care and general office work, some restraint of animals and assisting may be required when needed. NO ON-CALL OR WEEKEND DUTIES!!! We are open Monday- Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

We are passionate about improving patient dental care. To that end, our mission at Mainely Veterinary Dentistry includes providing continuing education dentistry training for outside veterinary staff to further our ultimate goal of improving the dental health of all patients in our area.

Veterinary Customer Service Representative Description:

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is focused on client care and communication. The CSR is an integral part of the team as the first person a client hears when they call and the last person they hear when they leave. The goal of a CSR is to make the client’s experience as smooth, stress-free, and friendly as possible. This level of service requires attention to detail, kindness, compassion, knowledge of our policies and processes, and efficient computer and telephone skills. The right candidate embodies our values of teamwork, excellence, education, environment, community, compassion, and care.

Duties:

  • Answers telephone calls quickly, efficiently and in a professional and friendly manner using a multi-line system
  • Warmly and timely greets clients
  • Prepares patient files
  • Obtains medical records from referring clinics, attaches to medical record and updates patient preventive care reminders
  • Answers and manages emails coming into the general inbox
  • Schedules consultation and dentistry procedure appointments
  • Receives and relays client correspondence and updates client financial records
  • Answers client’s inquiries about dentistry consultations and procedures
  • Educates clients about dentistry and our processes
  • Admits patients and handles medical records entries accurately
  • Prepares client invoices for services performed
  • Handles payment transactions
  • Receives and relays telephone, fax, and email messages accurately and promptly
  • Assists with basic restraint and animal handling
  • Obtains patient weight for consultation appointments
  • Communicates with referring clinics in a warm, friendly, and professional manner

Requirements and Essential Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in the veterinary or animal care field
  • Significant experience with basic office functions in a busy office environment
  • Customer service experience
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Must be a team player and have compassion for pets and their people
  • The ability to handle stressful situations with grace, compassion, and professionalism

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
