Mahaska is Hiring a Route Manager (Hiawatha, IA) Near Hiawatha, IA

Mahaska is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated and reliable Route Manager for our Omaha, NE office. This position will be responsible for the marketing of company brands in line with company strategies within conventional accounts and serve as the category manager for these customers. The Route Manager is responsible for manager drivers, ensuring safety and other business protocols are being developed and maintained, drive the execution of the business and motivate team members to achieve the best results.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Develop sales and communication skills for direct employees

-Solicit feedback from salespeople on a regular basis about areas for improvement and establish realistic goals to meet incentive objectives

-Provide salespeople with knowledge of full product line

-Ensure Route Salespeople and new hires are adequately trained and receiving ongoing training

-Oversee Salespeople’s account service schedule, making sure all customers are being serviced properly

Requirements include:

-Ability to work independently and within a team environment

-Strong communication skills in order to effectively communicate with the team and customers

-Demonstrate proficiency with technology, capable of learning to use a computer, handheld or IPAD with reasonable instruction

-Must have drivers license

-Applicants must be 21 years or older

-Be available and capable to perform the physical functions of the position, which including lifting and moving loads of up to 50 lbs manually and maneuvering a two-wheel cart with up to 200 lbs of product.
