Magnum Companies is Hiring an IT help Desk Intern Near Fargo, ND

Summary and Purpose:

The primary function of this position is to assist customers and clients with issues arising from every day computer use. Note this Job does have rotating light after hour support requirements

Essential Job Functions:

  • Take support related calls to fix computer related problems.
  • Monitor help desk email request for computer technical assistance.
  • Enter tickets into help desk system and assign them to support staff.
  • Collect detailed information to categorize requests in order to determine method of resolution.
  • Perform level 1 IT support engineer functions such as PC setups.
  • Provide assistance with new user setups. This includes security badges and truck badges
  • Basic TMW Trucking Software Support calles.
  • Basic Windows PC support related calls.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to research and determine appropriate actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills by phone or emails with clients and other external parties.
  • Exercise sound professional judgement in analysis of problem in order to (1) attempt hardware/software solution by phone, or (2) decide proper level of maintenance required to solve problem.

Education/Experience:

Going to school in a technology related science such as computer science, networking, programming or related field is preferred; Experiance will computer support will be considered
