Position Summary

Position is responsible for bank reconciliations and preparing general ledger journal entries relating to a variety of transactions. The candidate will have excellent time management skills to ensure all daily and monthly deadlines are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Create adjusting and recurring journal entries.
• Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct.
• Reconciling accounts with the general ledger.
• Assist with financial audits.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• 2-4 years of relevant financial accounting experience and/or training
• Ability to prioritize and manage multi-tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
• Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ingenuity with the ability to effectively achieve organizational established goals and objectives.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer service and collaborative team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally or in writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel. Experience with Deltek Costpoint a plus.

Education

• Must have a bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in accounting or in process of obtaining.
