MAG Areospace is Hiring an Acquisition Program Manager Near Patterson AFB, OH

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly qualified Acquisition Program Manager to manage and monitor their assigned program to include program of record changes, cost/schedule/performance issues, risks, and contract status. 

**Must be US Citizen**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Apply an understanding of defense acquisition program management to manage and maintain the Global Hawk weapon system Integrated Master Plans/Integrated Master Schedules (IMP/IMS), earned value measurement metrics management system, and financial planning tools.
  • Assist with planning, organization, and control of all UAS weapon system production and Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD)/capabilities master schedules, testing schedules, program’s weapon system prime/ subcontractor schedules, and identification/resolution of variances in weapon system contractor performance.
  • Apply knowledge and experience to manage and monitor the prime contractor’s efforts to design, develop, test and field the weapon system.
  • Monitor efforts to integrate sub-systems, such as sensors into the air vehicle or ground stations, software integration lab activities, testing, ground and flight regression and developmental testing, operational test configuration certification, operational test execution and reporting and fielding support.
  • Perform a wide range of acquisition management activities to include pre- and post-contract award and milestone reviews in support of existing and future weapon system programs.
  • Interface with customers, program’s prime contractor, SAF/IA, AFMC, other AFMC centers, National Security Agency (NSA), USN, Air Force Security Assistance Training Center (AFSAT), and the Air ForceSecurity Assistance Directorate.
  • Apply an understanding of Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) processes, policies, regulations, including exportability processes, to assess risks and resolve issues.
  • Interface with staff using specified configuration management processes to answer requests for information, perform risk analyses, and assist with resolution of program issues.
  • Assist the Global Hawk Operations Working Group (OWG) to organize and conduct periodic in-country site/equipment surveys.
  • Participate in Global Hawk site activation task force planning activities required for successful in-country delivery, bed-down, and demonstration of Global Hawk weapon system initial operational capability.
  • Assist in US foreign disclosure request processes and export control duties to safeguard Global Hawk critical technologies.
  • Monitor LOA lines being performed by other AFMC centers to assure continued coordination of development planning of follow-on Global Hawk capabilities, modernization, and interoperability support with foreign national air force customers.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Initiating and maintaining technical program objectives related to aircraft systems, hardware, and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration and systems supportability Managing different phases of weapon system acquisition 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Project management skills and the ability to prioritize workload of subordinates to align with project requirements and company initiatives
  • Proven track record of completing projects on schedule, within budget parameters
  • Complete understanding of operations of assigned contract
  • Attention to details and able to handle multiple tasks independently
  • Knowledge of various computer applications (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
  • Ability to multi-task in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to write technical/price proposals, statements of work, technical Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documents and other project-related documentation 
  • DoD Acquistion/ACAT I-III experience

The minimum years of related experience required:

  • 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD, with advanced degree
  • 12 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD, or; with Bachelor Degree
  • 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, eight of which must be in the DoD, with no degree

Education

  • Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Science (MS))
  • BA/BS degree

Desired Requirements

  • Technical Degree (Engineering, Systems Engineering, Science, etc.) or Finance (MBA, etc.)
  • PM training
  • DAWIA PM training. 

Other Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen 
  • Current DOD Secret Clearance 
  • Percent of Travel required: 0%-10%
