The Role: Territory Sales Manager

The Location: Remote

The Employment Type: Exempt, Full-time

The Team: Business Development

The Impact: We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join our fast paced, high volume team. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Territory Sales Manager will focus on partnering with field & store level retail associates to grow Made by Nacho’s (MBN) sales and brand presence in the independent pet marketplace. The Territory sales manager will be critically aware of industry best practices with a focus on top level retail operations, brand education, and sales highlighting opportunities within their marketplace while effectively promoting company products. This is a highly visible role for the candidate that is always looking to learn, teach and grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with every retail district in your designated markets through activating “Top Visit Standards” - by developing a monthly store visit schedule to achieve high market coverage.
  • Increase distribution by way of inventory merchandising excellence; work with store/field leadership to ensure proper counts/stock of MBN products
  • Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by persuading customers within an assigned territory to purchase company products and services.
  • Analyzing sales and marketing data to determine the most effective sales and marketing techniques.
  • Developing innovative sales strategies to increase sales within an assigned territory.
  • Attending trade shows to promote company products and services.
  • Ensuring that brand awareness within an assigned territory meets company expectations.
  • Monitoring competitors’ sales activity within an assigned territory.
  • Serve as a primary contact for our independent pet account locations in your set market

What We’re Looking For and Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in field and territory sales required in consumer packaging (pet industry experience is a plus)
  • Proven ability and excellent skills in building relationships, analyzing information and data, making inform-based recommendations, and troubleshooting
  • Highly organized with ability to manage priorities
  • A valid driver license and a car is required to perform this position
  • 50% travel outside of home market is required
  • Ability to lift 50lbs at a time
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound negotiation and consultative sales skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • The role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States

Compensation/Benefits Information:

This role is eligible to receive Made by Nacho benefits:
