We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineering Manager to lead our one of our vertical product development team. You will bring in your enterprise mindset and startup agility to help us rapidly grow to meet our customers’ needs as well as guiding our teams to maturity.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in hiring/building/scaling teams; retaining top talents; establishing scalable and sustainable architecture and engineering practices; collaborating on the strategy & roadmap working closely with product, design, and cross functional organizations.

Responsibilities

• Takes a high degree of responsibility in shaping the technical direction for the product development team in its current incarnation, along with the vision looking forward with the ability to assess impact to future lines of business.
• Drives delivery of business outcomes across multiple teams, including planning and execution holistically.
• Collaborates closely with cross functional teams such as Customer Support, Product, Design, and Implementation to ensure we deliver the best customer experience.
• Ensures quality end-to-end delivery of software, including team ownership of monitoring and production issue remediation, and collaboration with QE.
• Leads the organization to constantly deliver top quality client products on time and on budget. Brings predictability to the team’s overall performance and delivery.
• Hiring, developing, and retaining top talent with coaching, mentoring, and empowerment.
• Guides decisions on overall technical plan, including architecture and technical strategy.
• Owns and enhances development processes to ensure the quality of products and code, enhancing the engineering discipline of the team.
• Keeps up to date on industry trends and technologies and apply them quickly to our products.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalents in Computer Science or related fields with 8 years of professional experience in technology, software development, and process improvements with demonstrated ability to attract, retain, build, grow, and develop premier teams.
• 2 years of technical management experience.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud native hybrid/native mobile apps, web apps, web components, design systems, and other front-end UI/UX technologies.
• Significant experience composing / integrating REST APIs through a consumer-facing UI in an API-first, microservice-focused architecture
• Proven track record in successfully delivering large scale enterprise-wide solutions, from design to development to testing to production.
• Experience managing and scaling globally diverse engineering teams in a high growth environment.
• A bias towards action, with the ability to balance between getting things done and making things perfect.
• Strong customer focus, excellent communication and relationship building skills. Ability to frame a problem clearly and meaningfully.
• A strong sense of empathy for customers and teammates.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, including Extreme Programming practices like Iterative Development, Continuous Integration/Deployment and Test-Driven Development.
• Excellent spoken and written communication and presentation skills.
