The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee & coordinate the work of employees who transport materials, supplies, and finished products!

2nd shift: Monday-Friday; Start 2:45pm

Responsibilities

• Hire and train materials handlers.
• Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. 
• Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain inventory, which includes keeping records in an inventory management system, acquiring additional stock as the need arises, and distributing items from stock to fulfill requisitions.
• Oversee and coordinate receiving operations.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment used to move and transport materials to and from the storage areas of the facility.
• Organize and coordinate activities and staff schedules, ensuring fulfillment goals are met and that shipments are timely, accurate, and undamaged.
• Collaborate with managers and other departments to develop and modify materials handling processes and procedures.
• Complete and submit accident reports and perform JSA’s to mitigate risks on tasks within the Stockroom.
• Conduct daily communication meetings with the teams.
• Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
• Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
• Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
• Locate and pack materials for shipping.
• Document materials and records units delivered and location of units.
• Receive credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.
• Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
• Open containers, sort, and catalog materials.
• Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS diploma / GED with 7 or more years of leadership experience OR Associate degree with 3 or more years of leadership experience
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Previous stock or inventory experience preferred.
• Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to read and analyze Information
• Adept at balancing multiple sophisticated tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines
• Excellent time management
• Process improvement mentality
• Knowledge of inventory control
• Ability to lift heavy materials
• Data entry skills

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Be able to lift to 40 pounds at times.
