Job Summary Applying engineering techniques and assists in the improvement of manufacturing processes and products through automation of manual labor. Job Duties · Have a thorough understanding of site manufacturing processes and be able to research, recommend, justify, and implement automation throughout the entire facility · Stay up to date with new developments in the field to employ best methods of automation · · Recommend manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective and to promote quality and reliability · Assess current equipment and processes and make recommendations for changes · Help to troubleshoot and repair equipment · Show results in reports · Train personnel in equipment usage and processes · Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately · Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.) · Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures · Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Education · Possess comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing engineering · Full life cycle of automation process · Perform complex tasks under minimal supervision · Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex to higher-level staff · Bachelor's degree and 4 to 6 years of experience in applicable position Competencies/ Skills · Time management · Collaborative · Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously · Technical expertise · Analytical thinking skills · Problem-solving skills · Leadership skills
