The incumbent Draftsman will become a part of our engineering team as an essential team player, in the design and estimation of earth retaining and hydraulic structures. The AutoCAD Draftsman job description aims to highlight the multi-faceted role of the person creating, altering, and managing construction drawings and quantity estimation. It is a position of great responsibility, requiring not only excellent AutoCAD skills, but also good communication skills, work ethic, organizational abilities, and strong focus on quality.

Roles:

· Create and alter preliminary and construction drawings.

· Quantity estimation based on the project bid drawings and specifications.

· Collaborate with manager and design team on ongoing project drawings and estimation.

· Manage and organize the CAD drawing library.

Responsibilities:

· Seamlessly integrate and work with project manager and design engineers to produce and alter drawings.

· Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create drawings and quantity estimation.

· Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our CAD library, keeping it organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made.

· Create, edit, and update standard details for projects.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

· US citizenship or already permitted to work in the US.

· A two-year degree in Computer Aided Drafting.

· Minimum 1-year experience in a CAD Operator role.

· Minimum 1-year experience in Quantity Estimation.

· Outstanding fluency and skill within the AutoCAD program.

· Excellent communication skills.

· A passion for doing high quality work and attention to detail.

· Being able to self-motivate and work independently.

· Capability to handle pressure, strong work ethic.

Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience

Base pay range
$55,000/yr - $60,000/yr

Additional compensation range (variable pay)
$5,000/yr
