General Description

This position provides Senior Enterprise Architecture support to Air Force Reserve Command headquarters personnel at Robins AFB, GA. The successful candidate provides enterprise architecture analysis and development to support the enhancement and management of Air Force Reserve (AFR) Enterprise Architecture capabilities, including the Air Force Reserve Component (AF/RE), the Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command (HQ AFRC), and the Air Reserve Personnel Center (ARPC). This requirement includes creating solutions that integrate existing and evolving governance, EA tools, frameworks, methodologies, models, and artifacts with the goal to use EA to eliminate redundancy, build efficiency, and optimize the utilization of reserve command resources.

Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform the following:

  • Partner with government personnel and working groups to develop enterprise and segment architectures, plans, and roadmaps that supports a “future view” of technology implementation.
  • Develop DoDAF Architecture views to provide comprehensive as-is, to-be, reference, and domain architectures, perform gap analysis, and create transition plans.
  • Provide architectural recommendations as an individual contributor to the Requirements Management Process, Portfolio Management Process, and Enterprise Architecture Board.
  • Provide requirement Course of Action (COA) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) opportunity recommendations based on architecture analysis.
  • Conduct enterprise-wide and cross-domain data and architectural analyses and review; emphasis on promoting system convergence and investment optimization
  • Provide metrics and measures to categorize and track Enterprise Architecture (EA) activities to the Government.
  • Ensure compliance with, and collaborate on updates/changes to, AFR EA guidance and documentation
  • Facilitate changes to policy and make recommendations to address integration challenges by adapting legacy systems to new technology, identifying, and accelerating the adoption of innovation, and creating reference architectures that can be leveraged across the enterprise.

Specialized Knowledge

The successful candidate will have knowledge and expertise in the following areas:

  • Enterprise-wide implementations of Human Resource COTS and GOTS applications.
  • Understand EA principles, purposes, structures, use cases, and concepts.
  • Knowledge and expertise in EA methods and the current DoDAF framework
  • Knowledge and understanding of various EA modeling tools including the Sparx EA and UNICOM System Architect tools.
  • Advanced expertise in BPMN, Data Architecture, and Business Architecture.
  • Experience working across organizations to achieve integration and governance for improved enterprise-wide technical investments, change management, governance, and information-sharing

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related fields of study.

Professional Certifications

Enterprise Architecture certification such as Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA), Federal Enterprise Architecture Certification, and/or Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence Certification is preferred but not required.

Clearance

Either hold or have the ability to obtain a security clearance

Experience

5 years of experience working in Enterprise Architecture.

 Citizenship Requirement

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Other Characteristics (e.g., Personal or Language)

Excellent oral, written, and communication in English. Must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies, Government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members.

*This position may require travel of up to one week per quarter.

Working conditions, including location

Some duties can be completed while working remotely; however, other responsibilities require being on-site at Robins AFB, GA.

Client duty hours Monday through Friday.
