Responsibilities include:
Primary responsibilities include testing, evaluating and profiling embedded system software for certification of flight. Additional responsibilities may include designing and implementing software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment. Profiling embedded software on emulated boards as well as flight hardware. Modifying development tools such that profiling can be accomplished. Review code and requirements using standardized checklists and best practices. Provide quality assurance and verification and validation on embedded systems following standards such as DO-178 and ISO 26262.
