Responsibilities include:
Primary responsibilities include testing, evaluating and profiling embedded system software for certification of flight. Additional responsibilities may include designing and implementing software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment. Profiling embedded software on emulated boards as well as flight hardware. Modifying development tools such that profiling can be accomplished. Review code and requirements using standardized checklists and best practices. Provide quality assurance and verification and validation on embedded systems following standards such as DO-178 and ISO 26262.

Required Skills:

• BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
• Experience profiling embedded software systems on emulated hardware and flight hardware
• Solid programming experience in C or C
• Experience modifying tools and code to allow for extracting code coverage during testing
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
• Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
• Knowledge of standards and certification approaches for FAA and Automotive industry
• Experience with Code Composer, Code Warrior and GNU development tools
