DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYProvide customer service by assisting in the packing, loading, and unpacking of customers' possessions in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.Reports To: Operations DispatcherESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSIncluding but not limited to the following:Maintain a safe working environment;Follow all rules in the Employee Handbook and Safety Handbook;Read and receive instructions;Pack/unpack customers' goods;Communicate professionally with customers and co-workers;Lift frequently up to 100 pounds and ask for assistance in lifting items that are bulky or excessively heavy or appear to be beyond the employee's capability;Carry customer's goods on inclines, stairs, or long carries utilizing safe lifting techniques to/from the vehicle;Communicate with customers regarding placement of goods and unpacking where required;Ensure paperwork for each move is complete and returned to the appropriate member of staff;Clearly mark all contents and condition of each item or carton packed with the client's name, description of the item, name of room removed from, and packing date;Notify and communicate with the appropriate member of staff should any problems occur;Work in accordance with training received and relevant procedures;Always maintain confidentiality;any other duties as may be requested by the CompanyThis list is not all-inclusive but is meant as a guideline for assorted duties of the job.REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 100 lbs.Follow directions from Crew Leaders, Dispatchers, and SupervisorsPass all Company Pre-Employment ChecksDESIRED SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong interpersonal skills with attention to detailStrong results-oriented attitudeProfessionalism, Integrity, and ConfidentialitySolid Team PlayerPHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, talk, move about, hear, and speak. May be required to work in restricted spaces and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions. Noise levels may be high when operating power equipment. Employees may be exposed to outside weather conditions when transporting materials. The employee must be able to frequently lift up to 100 pounds and ask for assistance in lifting items that are bulky or excessively heavy or appear to be beyond the employee's capability.
