Our Modular Manufacturing Facility is seek an Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Richmond, VA (Ruther Glen, VA). 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops standard work processes for areas of responsibility. Including: development and documentation of routings and routing templates, working with shop floor employees to identify improvements, and collaborating with team to utilize best practices.

• Acts as liaison between Operations and Engineering to address manufacturing issues/Drawing issues/BOM Issues

• Leads and participates in Lean Enterprise activities, including Kaizen and process mapping events.

• Initiates, innovates, and implements process changes to achieve company goals, including justification of capital equipment and utilization of new technology.

• Ability to perform capability analysis to identify improvement opportunities.

• Performs improvement projects using lean methodology.

• Supports change management and fully interacts with all manufacturing teams, supporting and driving process capability and control.

• Drives change thru direct contact with supervisors/process operators, takes lead on specific directed projects.

• Works directly with Value stream groups identifying and delivering quality/leadtime/cost Improvement initiatives.

• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment..

• Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.

• Participates in coordination meetings with internal customers

• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requied Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree Engineering or related discipline and 7 years experience in manufacturing

• Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
