Responsibilities:

We are looking to expand our finance team to supports multi-million multi-year large scale construction projects. The successful candidate will perform the following activities daily/periodically:

Project Cost Control:

1. Engage with project management team to come up with accurate budgets and manpower forecast for multi-year construction project.
2. Monitor and control indirect costs by performing budget to actual analysis on weekly basis; identifying and eliminate root cause for variances.
3. Establish accurate cash flow forecast to ensure the project is cash-positive for the duration; monitor monthly to ensure the forecast remains accurate and job stays cash-positive for the duration. Take necessary steps to adjust forecast as needed.
4. Ensure accurate and timely complex multi-million cost-plus billing submission on monthly basis.

Project Procurement Planning:

1. Lead procurement planning effort for the project. Work closely with project management team to come up with a detailed procurement plan for the project after award; ensure compliance and logistics are included in the plan.
2. Help project team procure the job according to plan before 20% completion.
3. Perform monthly analysis of actual bought vs plan; ensure acceptable justification prior to adjusting the plan.

Work Breakdown Structure:

1. Assist project management team in establishing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) at the time of award.
2. Assist with maintenance of WBS responsibilities at the project level.
3. Ensure WBS maintained throughout the project duration.

Project Controls:

1. Assist project team with monthly financial forms:
   • Provide cost analysis and require explanation of variances from the project team.
   • Help project management team in preparation monthly financial forms for review with management.
   • Ensure acceptable justification for all found variances (fades/gains).

Experience:

1. The incumbent must have between two and four years of related experience.
2. Knowledge of general accounting principles.
3. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
4. Attention to detail in completing work tasks.
5. Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills.
6. Use of accounting principles to solve problems.

Education:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 2-4 years of experience.
