RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Measure, cut and install metal framing members which includes but not limited to concrete, structural steel, wood, etc.
  • Measure, cut, install and fasten wallboard to framing members around all penetrating objects such as but not limited to MEP rough in, electrical outlets, plumbing, cable tray, etc.
  • Finish drywall by installing corner bead, taping and finishing joints, penetrations and patches to reach the required level of finish with drywall compound and the necessary tool.
  • Build decks, stairs, roofs and other temporary structures between office units, plan tables, install shelves, setup tool trailers and/or conex’s, per plan
  • Hand-set forms and/or assemble the gang form
  • Accountabilities
    • Assist journeyman and foreman with the shooting of grades and elevations
    • The unloading, handling, stockpiling, and erecting of all pre-fabricated materials
    • Concrete and rough carpentry
      • Hand set wall
      • Footings
      • Gang Wall Forms
      • Structural Concrete Decks
      • In wall and roof blocking
      • Finish carpentry, including doors, frames and hardware
      • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy
  • Pictures solid objects from drawings or diagrams
  • Must be able to operate equipment such as: table saw, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection, equipment, rigging and form systems
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to adapt communication style to the speaker and possess a high degree of active listening skills
  • Strong teamwork orientation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Trade or technical school certification/diploma is a plus
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a drywall framer/rocker

  • Compensation range: $25/hour - $32/hour, dependent on qualifications and experience
