Lyons Magnus is seeking a Production Manager, in our Fresno, California location to join their team!

A member of the production department, a food service division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. This position is responsible for. The General Manager serves on the plant's leadership team. Manages and develops the production team leads/supervisors and hourly team members. Provide guidance and oversight for all production employees of Lyons Magnus. Responsible for balancing hourly workforce assignments, safety, and employee training. Works directly with the Sr. V.P of Manufacturing and other department management ensuring activities support facility goals, business unit/manufacturing strategies and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports the mission, values and vision of the company.
• Maintains the best interest of Lyons Magnus first and foremost.
• Review daily operational performance reports and drive accountability in critical success areas.
• Work with employees and other departments of Lyons Magnus in a positive and constructive manner to maintain a professional relationship. Demonstrates courtesy, discretion, friendliness and diplomacy.
• Works within a team environment to share information and help others as needed.
• Improve process and operational consistency to reduce cost and raise performance.
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies.
• Obtain an in-depth understanding of technical manufacturing processes and ensure that first-level supervisors are progressively developing technical expertise.
• Develop a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Ensure manufacturing process failure root causes are identified and are in the process of being eliminated.
• Assume ownership for strategic initiatives and additional duties as assigned.
• Work and/or attend meetings during other shifts (including off-shifts and/or weekends) as necessary.
• Maintain effective communication with forklift drivers and receiving office personnel.
• Consult and work with managers, supervisors, employees, and equipment manufacturers to coordinate loading and loading operations.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the lead, supervisor or manager
• Monitor interaction between all departments during the Night Shift – Keep Operations moving forward in an orderly fashion.
• Ability to work weekends, as needed.

Requirements

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Computer skills including a working knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Basic Math skills
• Good prioritization and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge and application of Food and Beverage Manufacturing, including video jets, case packer, fillers set-up process
• Strong Forklift, industrial equipment skills, a plus
• Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes is preferred
• Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory

Education and/or Experience:

• BS Degree in an Operations-related field preferred.AS Degree, required
• Minimum 5 years experience in warehousing/manufacturing environment, preferably in food and beverage.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or other applicable experience (3 - 5 years preferred).
