Description

Support the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab in Ann Arbor, MI in accomplishing tasks such as the following:

I. Webpage Creation and Design

a. Working in conjunction with cloud implementation staff, coordinate the migration of the local historical web sites to WordPress content management system which is hosted in the cloud

b. Refine WordPress website templates and tailor web pages with updated content in accordance with relevant laws, policies, and regulations for federal agencies as needed.

II. Web Server Support

a. Provide assistance to System Admin responsible for upgrading web server software, monitoring server performance and diagnosing performance issues.

b. Work with IT staff to ensure compliance with Federal government requirements, security guidelines, with a focus on fulfilling the mandatory annual federal web assessment and certification inventory

Requirements

Minimum 2 years Web Developer experience

Must have knowledge of Cloud technologies and have participated in the development of Cloud based websites and/or the migration of a website to a Cloud-hosted platform

Required: proficient with Wordpress, HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript programming languages; desired XML, Python, JQuery, R, PostgreSQL,

Basic web architecture framework knowledge

Knowledge of Google Suite products, to include Google Analytics, email, drive, calendars, and documents is strongly desired.
