Primary Responsibilities:

• Interface daily with their manager to coordinate the workflow of material needed for customer shipments within assigned ship dates.
• Determines daily availability of products ready to ship.
• Facilitate daily SAP transactions
• Initiates daily requests for shipping documentation.
• Coordinates workflow of material needed for customer shipments via communication thru the backside Team leader.
• Process packaging sort lists, Certificates of Conformance, Japanese test reports, and Bills of Lading.
• Sorts, packages, and shrink-wraps goods to be shipped.
• Prepares and verifies shipping documents, such as box labels and serial lists.
• Verifies material to be shipped is in compliance with regulatory issues, such as Hydro information and oil tests.
• Responsible for maintaining Kanbans for packaging and shipping material.
• Loads and unloads, as applicable, trucks or vans.
• Responsible for housekeeping within their specific area.
• Provides back-up support for Production Control Assistant in their absence.
• Interfaces with Quality Supervisor regarding MRB product. RG’s and other quality issues that are delaying shipments.
• Assists the manager in establishing priorities for others assigned in the shipping area.
• Actively perform 5S projects and activities.

Education and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 – 2 years of related experience in shipping or material handling, preferably in manufacturing
• Forklift experience required (must be able to retain Luxfer's forklift certification to retain employment)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and Outlook. 
• Knowledge of SAP system is a plus
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to read, interpret general procedure manuals. 
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence. 
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and general public
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages.
