LUX Catering and Events is looking for an energetic, passionate, results-driven sales professional to join our team! A LUX Event Producer is an experienced, creative, and highly organized professional responsible for creating, organizing and supervising every element of events in a fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment. Must have a love for incredible food, the dynamics, tempo, and energy of the special event business as well as a strong ability to build solid, lasting relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels. The success of an individual in this position is directly tied to client satisfaction, positive interdepartmental relationships, client retention, and event profitability. 

Responsibilities

• Duties will include but not be limited to working with space requirements, scheduling of events, equipment rentals, tastings, menus, invoicing and theme concept/design.
• Handles incoming calls from individuals, corporations, and associations for meetings, conventions, parties, festivals, company events, etc. 
• Meets with a client to discuss goals and objectives - then designs an event plan including menu design, staging, florals, lighting, room designs, decorations, etc.
• Develop meaningful client relationships and maintain satisfaction throughout the journey.
• Performs a site inspection with the client and any necessary members of the design team. 
• Supervises vendors, partners, sponsors and exhibitors at events during set-up and execution of the event. 
• Handles all issues that arise from clients, vendors, etc. 
• Receives all vendor invoices for events, verifies items and expenses, and forwards for approval. 

Requirements

• Two or more years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related industry. 
• Basic knowledge of etiquette, including table set-up, place settings, placement of silverware, glassware, proper food serving and plate removal. 
• Computer proficiency in google suite applications and caterease software platform (or similar)
• Due to the highly collaborative nature of this work, strong interpersonal skills are required. 
• Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with all types of clients.
• Must be able to read and write English professionally.
