Our vision isto create communities free of violence and deprivation where all people have anopportunity to live a safe and fulfilling life.The Role: Client Services-Mental Health Clinician (Licensed) Provides intake,assessment, therapy, and casemanagement services for children, youth and their families in their home or ina community setting by performing the following duties:ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:· Intake availability will be decided upon on a case-by-case basis and is subject to approval by theclinical supervisor. Caseloads will be evaluated on an ongoing basis with your supervisor and, at any given time maychange, depending on the clientele being seen by the case manager/therapist. Provide next day appointment time(s) for clients in the community meeting urgent or emergent status. Expectation is that the case manager/therapist will complete an intake on these assigned individuals. Provide approximately 675 direct service hours to clients annually. This is approximately 16-18 directservice hours to clients per week (16 as 100% FTE, will be prorated based on FTE). Complete all clinical paperwork to agency standards and within the expected time frame. Meet weekly or bi-weekly with the clinical manager for case supervision. Frequency determined by supervisor based on need. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomiccharacteristics of the populations he or she serves. Maintain extensive knowledge regarding provision of treatment to victims of violent acts. Able to identify critical components necessary in responding to such survivors.Interview client(s) to obtain informationnecessary to complete the intake and assessment. Formulate treatment plans and goals in conjunction with client(s). Periodically reviews treatment plan, discuss progresstoward goal(s) with the client and modify treatment plan when necessary. Use appropriate referrals and access community services when appropriate and necessary. Assign diagnosis using the DSM-5. Assist with the promotion of client’s optimal level of functioning in the community. Obtain appropriate releases of information from the client as needed and appropriate for service. Gather records and consults with medical doctors, other service providers, school personnel,CPS, law enforcement, attorneys, and other specialists involved with the client. Attend staffing and appointments in the community regarding the client when necessary and appropriate. Practice and articulate one or more models of treatment. Plan and administer therapeutic interventions that are culturally competent, consistent with that theoretical base, and arewithin the ethical standards of the profession (NASW or Code of Ethics). Seek consultation from agency staff or community providers as needed for the client. Staff cases with peers, supervisors, and consultants. Able to accept feedback from peers, supervisors andconsultants. Identify and separate personal feelings and counter transference issues to maintain a therapeutic neutral stance. Write letters and reports and provides legal testimony when required. Maintain a working knowledge of resources available in the community. Facilitates or serves as a co-leader for groups conducted by the agency in response to the client’s needs. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Master’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of applicable experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Registered with the Department of Health as Agency Affiliate, Associate License or License. Cleared through the Washington State Patrol or FBI to work with vulnerable populations. Must have current auto insurance and driver’s license on file with LCSNW. Safe, reliable automobile required.BENEFITS: We offer a full benefits package with options for medical and dental insurance. Vacation includes up to 2 weeks in the first year, with an increase up to3 weeks in the second year (based on hours worked). Up to 2 ½ weeks of Sick leave for you or to take care of your immediate family (based on hoursworked). 10 Paid Holidays plus 2 Floating Holidays each year.
