Lunar Outpost is Hiring an Air Quality and Environmental Monitor Sales Manager Near Arvada, CO

Lunar Outpost is a leader in commercializing space technology to improve life on Earth. We are seeking a full-time, in-person sales manager for air quality monitoring in the Heavy Industry, Environmental Services, Environmental Social Governance (ESG) ratings, Environmental Research, Smart Cities, and air quality modeling markets. The Canary is an air quality and meteorological monitoring platform built to monitor dangerous air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Canary has over 3,000 devices deployed around the world monitoring air quality at schools, measuring methane emissions from oil and gas drilling, and helping advance air quality research.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and refine the sales pipeline for these markets
  • Use and maintain the sales CRM (Hubspot) and use it to generate sales and revenue projections
  • Identify and implement the tools (database, marketing materials, and software) necessary to sell into these markets
  • Regularly cold call and cold email prospective customers
  • Develop the most efficient methods for reaching prospective customers
  • Develop quarterly plans for contacting, selling, and closing new customers
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking events to identify and pursue potential customers
  • Understand customer use-cases and needs to provide feedback for the engineering and product development team

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience selling into ESG, Environmental Research, Smart Cities, air quality modeling, Heavy Industry, Environmental Services, or Construction markets
  • 1 year of experience as a manager of sales or similar role
  • Experience working and tabling trade shows
  • Experience with top of the funnel sales (first contact, cold outreach, email marketing)
  • Ability to operate and maintain a fully featured sales CRM (Hubspot)
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced startup environment with new products and new markets

  • Has a high degree of competence in developing, refining, and implementing sales strategies from the ground up
  • Has experience with startups, emerging markets, and emerging products
  • Has highly developed self-managing and self-teaching skills
