Our MissionWe envision a Luminex solution in every lab around the world seeking to obtain timely and confident answers.Our VisionWe aim to lead with transformative solutions that uniquely accelerate reliable answers while reducing the overall cost of advancing health.A Brief OverviewThe Global Logistics Analyst will be responsible for creating, implementing, managing, solving issues, and auditing processes required for Luminex's domestic and international shipping operations to be compliant, efficient, timely, and cost-effective. Serve as a point of contact for Luminex's internal customers, including but not limited to Logistics, Customer Experience, Operations, Supply Chain, Support, Field Service, and Sales.What you will doRespond to day-to-day operational requests to keep all Luminex site logistics teams on scheduleProvide proactive advice and guidance through process documentation to internal departments in regards to cost effective and efficient practices for logistics and the overall business needsCollects, creates, processes, and maintains data for analysis to identify shipping and business risksIdentifies cost inefficiencies/trends and works to correct identified issuesDetermines freight prices on customer ordersManage freight forwarder and carrier relationshipsImplement standardized best practices across multiple locations within applicable ERP systemsLeads international logistics investigations including filing freight claims and putting controls in place to prevent issues from repeating in futureLeads and audits logistics process improvement projects by assembling cross-functional teamsIdentifies, evaluates and manages global logistics and warehousing risks including supply chain security mapping and shipping lane routing analysisAssists the supply chain organization manage their 3PL’s and Carriers per Luminex’s supplier quality management programAbility to convert complex rules and regulations into easy-to understand procedures and strategies to ensure compliance with global trade and hazardous shipment regulationsUpdates related SOPs in document control software and submit change requests as requiredConduct internal training on logistics topicsOther duties as assignedEducation QualificationsBachelor's Degree Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, International Studies, Law, or equivalent requiredMaster's Degree Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, International Studies, Law, or equivalent preferredExperience Qualifications2 Years Logistics Analyst, Traffic Analyst or Import/Export Analyst required2 Years Experience with IATA and Hazardous Materials Regulations preferred2 Years Experience in a U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulated environment preferred2 Years Experience working with cold chain shipments preferred2 Years Experience serving on cross-functional teams preferred2 Years Experience implementing process improvements preferredTraining and SkillsLiteracy (speak, read, and write in English) (High proficiency)Excellent written and verbal communication skills (High proficiency)Ability to follow written and verbal instructions (High proficiency)Ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines (High proficiency)Ability to research solutions independently when the answer is not readily known (High proficiency)Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (High proficiency)Driver's license (Low proficiency)Must be available for work daily Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
