The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for:• Meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction through service excellence.• Exercising of judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.• Compliance of field service technical standards is required.• Monitoring of field service policies, procedures, standards, and company to policies and procedures is mandatory.o Requires travel on short notice; overnight travel may be required depending on service region requirements.o Service is provided Monday through Friday, typically between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., occasionally requiring extended workdays. What you will doMaintain inventory of parts and suppliesInstall and repair scientific instrumentation manufactured by Luminex Corporation at customer locations within a multi-state geographic region.Manage an expense account, service tools and spare parts inventories.Interface daily with internal and external customersSubmit written reportsUtilize the CRM system to capture full documentation of all calls and entering appropriate codes to ensure accurate history of reporting trends and corrective actionsMeeting departmental expectations regarding the following: response time, PM completion rates, service callbacks, and customer satisfaction survey resultsOther duties as assigned.Education QualificationsAssociate's Degree AS, AA, BS Electronics, or demonstrated equivalent requiredExperience Qualifications1 Years Experience in one of the following: Field Service, In-house Biomed, Customer facing role requiredTraining and SkillsKnowledge of electronic measuring equipmentAbility to work with a teamHigh mechanical aptitude and good problem solving/communication skillsCustomer relationship skills.Fluency in English as well as local language of the residential country is requiredLicenses and CertificationsValid Passport or eligibility required requiredStandard Physical DemandsPossible exposure to Chemicals, Lasers, Excessive Noise, etc. - RarelyStandard Working ConditionsOffsite Position - ConstantlyWork situations include dealing with people; working alone; making judgments and decisions; and directing, controlling or planning the activity of others - ConstantlyVision (Color) - ConstantlyBending - FrequentlyTravel Requirements75% Travel may be required, including international
