Luminator is seeking to fill our full time Hardware Product Manager role to join our growing and dynamic Product Management team where you will be an integral part of the team by providing valuable input as we work toward assessing and implementing goals and mission of the department and Luminator. Summary:   

Luminator is seeking a Hardware Product Manager who is committed to transparency, diversity, teamwork, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. The Hardware Product Manager is responsible for managing a product portfolio, from cradle to grave, to grow our market share and leadership position. They play a key role as the overall responsible person coordinating activities across the entire organization with respect to their product line. This includes interfacing with customers, sales, engineering, procurement, technical support, finance, and repair. This role will be integral in setting the tone and culture at Luminator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive efforts with, and across, LTG teams including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and stakeholders to successfully launch product upgrades, new products and features
  • Manage Product versions, updates, changes, deployments, and launches
  • Coordinate internal and external global communications with regards to features, schedules, product capabilities, announcements, and releases
  • Develop core positioning and messaging for assigned products
  • Create product strategy outlining tiering, product differentiation and value proposition
  • Conduct and collect market research to identify market trends
  • Create business cases and market/product descriptions for new market and product opportunities then present cases to stakeholders for input and approval
  • Review technical specification in RFIs/RFPs and provide input to Sales
  • Develop product pricing strategy based on costs, market factors and competitive information
  • Develop and communicate product unit forecasts to internal management and key partners
  • Maintain a product and feature roadmap for LTG products, managing prioritization and capacity planning
  • Maintain positive working relationships with key industry partners
  • Work with Marketing Communications to develop documentation, sales tools and collateral
  • Life cycle management of Hardware and Firmware products in the transit industry
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public
  • Superior time management skills with proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent project planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated passion for producing high-quality work, focusing on the customer's needs and established business objectives

Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelors or equivalent required
  • 5 years of experience required
  • 20% of travel required
