Lumina Solar is looking for a Maintenance Solar Electrician/Technician to join our team in Pennsylvania. We're looking for people with solar or electrical experience, who are passionate about applying these skills to provide reliable solutions and satisfy our customers.
You’ll be a valued member of the Energy Services team. Your peers will rely on your expertise and you will help move businesses and homes toward carbon neutrality. You will report to our Energy Services Manager.
In this role, you'll get to:
Install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of residential and commercial solar PV systems
Ensure electrical systems meet company standard job specifications, the National Electrical Code, and other relevant local codes
Act as an on-site supervisor for install teams and provide regular reports of team activities to the project manager
Assist in job safety and overall crew support including staging materials, general site work support, as well as site preparation and clean up
Keep service van stocked and serviced properly
Coordinate and communicate with electrical inspectors on projects
Correspond professionally with homeowners
Provide regular updates of job status, complete necessary paperwork and photos
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
Residential/Commercial solar installation experience
Knowledge of electrical systems, AC & DC including troubleshooting, wiring and assembly.
Ability to read and interpret Electrical line drawings
Must be proficient in the use of smart phones/tablets.
Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
National Electrical Code (NEC) knowledge
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Exemplary customer service skills
Ability to troubleshoot electrical installation projects
Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Must be able to lift 75 pounds repeatedly, climb ladders, work on sloped roofs in all weather conditions and stand for two hours.
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license – CDL preferred
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
