Summary
Service Shop Technician I will be responsible for assessment of dysfunctional pumping units and the manufacture and installation of the necessary parts to repair them.
Responsibilities
Recognize and mitigate hazards associated with task.
Stay informed of and follow Lufkin policies, procedures and SOP’s.
Use 5S to maintain shop condition.
Repair structure bearings for pumping units.
Track inventory of products and participate in monthly inventory of assets.
Backfill for the gear shop as needed.
Operate forklift, auto crane, drill press, vertical lathe, and mills as needed for task.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications/Experience
Lifting capability must meet current requirements.
Minimum 2 years’ experience.
Must possess valid driver’s license.
Work schedules vary based on location and customer request and are subject to change without notice.
Must be able to read and understand English for the purpose of completing safety related paperwork.
Working conditions will vary based on season and location but may include uneven walking surfaces, heat, cold, rain and blowing dust.
Employees will be asked to do a variety of physically demanding tasks including but not limited to bending, sitting, squatting, grasping and standing in addition to lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling heavy objects.
