Role Summary

Lucid is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide support for product development and manufacturing. This is a new position reporting to the Director of Operations. As a key member of Lucid’s growing team, the Electrical Engineer will work across the company to design new products and test fixtures, troubleshoot problems and help build a scalable manufacturing process to support Lucid’s rapid growth. The role will require succeeding in a dynamic, high growth environment where a small team is expected to attain a high degree of success through impactful individual contribution and leadership across multiple disciplines. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Create and maintain manufacturing test fixtures, integrating digital electronics, software, firmware and mechanical design to improve production quality and throughput
• Design, layout, order and troubleshoot printed circuit boards for products and internal use
• Assemble, program and test electronics
• Implement product design updates including component upgrades and substitutions
• Actively participate in the process for establishing root cause and corrective actions related to warranty issues with products in the field - including the timely review of each warranty item and the creation of appropriate issues records including their resolution

Education, Qualifications and Professional Experience:

• At least 2 years experience in a related role
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or a related engineering field, advanced degree preferred
• Strong understanding of digital electronics, microcontrollers, firmware and software
• Hands-on experience with circuit testing and troubleshooting
• A self-starter who is accountable, results-oriented and motivated by a challenge
• Strong computer, computational data analysis and software skills
