Lucid Motors is Hiring a Category Manager Near DENVER, CO
- Lead development and execution of complex sourcing strategies and projects aligned with the goals and objectives of internal stakeholders for targeted categories that result in supply chain continuity.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of the target categories and proactively monitors and analyzes each category's supply chain; market conditions: trends and movement; and industry reports to anticipate market fluctuations and impacts to the business.
- Proactively, researches information relating to target categories and identifies potential opportunities with top suppliers, manufacturers, or purchasing associations/cooperatives and makes recommendations to management on the applicability of business needs and evolving market conditions.
- Synthesizes market data and current supply base/chain to make recommendations that mitigate risk and continuously improve the organization's supply chain including, but not limited to costs, product/service improvements, inventory, business process, logistics, etc.
- Forecasts market supply and demand based on business needs and usage: buying and spending patterns and use this information to influence key suppliers' supply chain in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both parties that achieve greater economies of scale.
- Develops, establishes, and maintains strategic partnerships with key strategic suppliers, purchasing cooperatives, and other industry associations and entities to provide alternative options and continuously improve the supply chain.
- Regularly tracks and reports supplier performance against KPIs to proactively address issues, mitigate risk, and continuously strengthen partnerships for optimal operational efficiency.
- Drives supplier performance results through analytics, business acumen, personal leadership, and developing business cases to support sourcing initiatives
- Represents the organization and actively participates in industry groups and/or forums and attends trade shows/conventions as related to supply chain and procurement.
- Leads and develops negotiation strategies that are aligned with the business strategies and lead those negotiations to completion while pursuing full value and mitigating risk.
- Strategizes with the Supplier Diversity/Business Development representative to develop and execute business development plans to generate competition and increase the awareness of suppliers, community associations, business chambers, or cooperative procurement partners about each category and impacts to the supply chain.
- Performs related work as required.
