Position Description: LTC Solutions has a current opening for a Senior Test Engineer to provide the Department of Defense (DoD) with Test and Evaluation (T&E) engineering support services for our USMC customer located in Stafford, VA.
The Senior Test Engineer utilizes expertise in Test and Evaluation to support Government personnel at the Command Level and Lead Testers in program offices who have managerial and decision-making authority for programs that have broad impact within the Department of Defense/Department of Navy and Marine Corps.
Qualifications/Pre-requisites:
- Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of T&E experience, or a minimum of 8 years of Field Testing
- Ability to travel in support of testing efforts
- Full working knowledge of the System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process
- Ability to communicate effectively and prepare complex oral and written presentations
- Demonstrated ability to strategically plan, execute and evaluate engineering aspects of DoD programs.
- Must be a self-starter able to work autonomously on multiple tasks with the ability to also collaborate within a team environment with minimal supervision.
Specific Duties:
Support the planning and execution the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Engineering Competency Manager’s objectives with regards to T&E.
Review Secretary of the Navy Instructions, Policies and Acquisition Guidelines and assess impacts to MCSC Programs of Record. This may include the ability to interpret, tailor and implement statutory/regulatory policies, guidance and direction that are promulgated by DoD and DoN.
Provide technical assessments and recommendations on existing policies across the Command to improve communication and document risk.
Assist with the planning and execution of the MCSC Projects:
- Support Engineering Competency Manager at meetings
- Review Scheduling/Timelines
- Brief Development
- Discussions and Issues documentation
Assist in the drafting and submission of T&E Test Plans and Reports.
Other duties as assigned.
