What are we looking for?

LSB Industries El Dorado is looking for a Maintenance Superintendent to join our team. This position will be to manage and coordinate the day to day outside contracting services, l&E, and Maintenance group for the site. This includes the responsibility for safety, quality of the work, schedule, and cost efficiency as well as the necessary communication with internal staff and contractors. This role works closely with the Maintenance and Reliability Manager and Turnaround Leader to prepare and execute unit and plant-wide shutdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Maintenance and Reliability Manager to run an efficient, clean, and well organized operation.
• Provide necessary selection, development, coordination and cooperation for groups/individuals under his/her control in order to maximize (planning, organizing, and managing) efficiency of maintenance services.
• Ensure proper planning of work orders, communication with Operations including timeline, sufficient backlog, and maximum efficiency of work order execution.
• Establish and maintain an open dialogue with union employees to ensure an excellent work experience.
• Provide and maintain standards of performance and appraisals which promote high quality, efficiency and effectiveness including proper documentation of work.
• Maintain personal and facility cleanliness and organization.
• Work with the maintenance manager to Perform daily, monthly, and end-of-year reports.
• Ensure that daily checks of all equipment are performed.
• Check time sheets provided by contractors and monitor/control direct controllable costs within budgetary limits.
• Promote and maintain Process Safety Management within assigned area of responsibility, enforcing safe work practices for assigned staff and for Contractors (respecting site procedures etc.) and compliance with Ml regulations (OSHA, API).
