JOB POSTING – Program Assistant
LowellArts is a non-profit arts organization located in downtown Lowell, MI. The mission of LowellArts is to connect artists and audiences through visual and performing arts. LowellArts is seeking a part- time Program Assistant to support the organization’s daily operations. Duties will include answering phones, greeting gallery visitors, registering people for classes, and selling event tickets. This individual will also provide support in the areas of marketing, membership, and volunteer management.
A successful candidate must be able to interact in a friendly, professional manner with in-person visitors and over the phone. Candidates should have excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity with social media, and should be comfortable working with on-line event management tools.
The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Previous experience in an office setting with a community arts organization, or other non- profit organization, is desired. Interest in the arts (visual art, music, theatre, or other art forms) is also desired.
This position is 24-32 hours a week, Tuesday through Friday, with scheduled hours between 10am-6pm. Some weekends and evenings will be required for special events.
