Summary

The recruiter position is responsible for interviewing, testing and referring applicants for positions throughout the company. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all specialized functions in the company, and a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure.

Primary Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Processes job requisitions.
  • Creates and maintains job postings using appropriate resources.
  • Screens and interviews applicants.
  • Coordinates appropriate pre-employment testing.
  • Conducts employment verifications.
  • Extends written contingent job offers.
  • Coordinates appropriate background checks.
  • Maintains employee referral program.
  • Conducts orientation of new employees.
  • Follows up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as completing necessary forms, notifying the associated department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling.
  • Completes weekly report on employment activity.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Minimum two years Recruiting experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Organizational skills with ability to multi-task
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication
  • Basic proficiency of Microsoft Suite and internet-based applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate computer mouse and keyboard and other basic office equipment; subject to long periods of sitting and twisting to perform essential functions.

**This job operates in a professional office environment. Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. **
