Title: Payroll Coordinator

Department: Finance

Status: Full Time

Reports to Payroll Manager

The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for handling and maintaining payroll functions of the organization. This person will perform a variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities, including processing regular and non-regular payroll, administering time and attendance policies, and work with all departments of the organization to ensure compliance.

Job Functions:

  • Assist with processing weekly and semi-monthly payrolls using UKG system to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Assist with verifying employee payroll changes, garnishments, regular checks and manual checks
  • Maintain filing system for payroll records
  • Assist with compiling taxation reports for payroll including incidentals, deductions, tickets, travel, and other necessary taxable items.
  • Reconcile Medical and Fringe deductions withheld from the employees pay and liaising with Human Resources to verify
  • Reconcile benefits deductions processed in payroll
  • Assist with Audits and other administrative duties as needed
  • Answering questions and resolving issues regarding payroll.
  • Preparing payroll reports for management and auditing purposes
  • Assist with Quarterly and Year-end tax reconciliation

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Experience working with UKG system or other similar HRIS software preferred
  • Proficient in using intermediate to advanced functions in Microsoft Excel (use of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF MATCH, etc.)
  • Must be able to handle confidential information and interact with all levels of management and staff in a professional manner.
  • Exceptional follow-through, attention to detail and good with numbers
  • Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to easily shift priorities
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related experience
  • Minimum High School Diploma required; BA preferred
