Logistics Management Institute is Hiring a Multimedia Producer Near Tysons, VA

Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Multimedia Producer at our headquarters office in Tysons, Virginia. TheLMI Multimedia Producer creates compelling digital branding and marketing content for the web, email, social media, and advertising to seamlessly integrate into our overall strategy. We are seeking a creative and energetic self-starter to produce crisp, engaging content, who keeps pace with the rapid content delivery needed in the world of online video. This excellent communicator writes, edits, and optimizes content according to our SEO strategy and industry best practices while planning, managing, and executing the entire production process—budget, concept, storyboard development, script, production, and post-production. The ideal candidate knows the ins and outs of video production and makes captivating videos for the web that blend complex information and visual storytelling to draw and keep the viewer’s attention for content ranging from formal interviews to motion-graphics narration.

Responsibilities

Pre-Production

  • Create scripts, storyboards, and teleprompter content
  • Develop concepts that connect customers to our brand, products, and culture
  • Collaborate with a variety of team members to develop creative ideas and solutions
  • Turn technical concepts into dynamic, appealing visual media
  • Design and develop multimedia products to improve organizational communication
  • Brainstorm and collaboratively develop storytelling concepts in a fast-paced environment

Production

  • Support all internal departments through video production, concept development, and special event coverage
  • Create high-end multimedia for marketing, communications, presentations, computer-based training, web, and video
  • Record, edit, research, produce, write, and direct multi-purpose content and interview subjects for web videos, social media, and other communication venues
  • Set up and operate equipment and technologies onsite, including video cameras, large viewing screens, and sound systems
  • Manage workflow, estimates, and scheduling for multiple video products simultaneously
  • Communicate project status on a regular basis

Post-Production

  • Manage and utilize a state-of-the-art video production studio, including maintenance and upkeep of equipment, while improving processes
  • Plan and perform post-production tasks: review footage; make editorial decisions; handle logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, and color correction; add photographs, motion pictures, graphics, animation, and music; and perform final editing
  • Keep current with emerging multimedia design applications and technologies and advise on integrating new approaches to LMI’s strategic communications goals and objectives
  • Produce content that aligns with branding and accessibility compliance standards

Photography

  • Serve as the corporate photographer, capturing events and employee portraits
  • Retouch and refine photography, maintain an image library, and supply digital resources to staff members
  • Shoot and edit photographs for internal communications, product videos, product images, recruiting, training materials, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in videography, multimedia, photography, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in multimedia design and photography
  • Deep knowledge of industry-standard software (Adobe CC) and digital video production, including Adobe Premiere and After Effects, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Open to learning, dedicated to improving, and committed to the highest production quality on all projects
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Fluent in multimedia and digital content production and SEO best practices
  • Expertise in producing, shooting, capturing, editing, and packaging video
  • Sophisticated design skills and knowledge of industry trends
  • Ability to produce original designs and custom layouts for presentations, briefs, web, motion graphics, videos, and other content for interactive multimedia products
  • Expertise with Microsoft PowerPoint and its multimedia features for creating sophisticated presentations
  • Ability to test and monitor all video, lighting, and sound equipment to ensure proper function and communicate recommended improvements to management
  • Experience in studio photography, lighting, light boxes, and backdrops; adept at setting up photoshoots and capturing a variety of corporate-related venues, including portraits
  • Ability to coordinate scheduling with internal and external clients to meet deadlines and budgets
  • Proven success in creating compelling, shareable videos for the web
  • Experience in developing effective visual storyboards and interpretations of technical concepts
  • Proven track record of collaborating with video editors, producers, instructional and web designers to translate corporate needs into original and engaging multimedia
  • Experience with web design and SharePoint a plus
  • Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule during periods of peak demand
