Logistics Management Institute is Hiring a Logistics Analyst (92Y) Near Fort Lee, VA

Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Logistics Analyst to serve at US Army Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) Headquarters in Ft. Lee, VA. The Logistics Analyst will help develop updated 92Y (Supply Specialist) Manpower Requirements Criteria (MARC) and identify shortages in supply personnel at each echelon. Successful LMI consultants demonstrate competency in project execution, leadership critical thinking, relationship management, and business growth while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Conduct research into supply requirements, including literature reviews, interviews, and site visits.
  • Canvass databases and consolidate information from numerous sources into a single data base or spreadsheet and manipulate the data for analysis of courses of action.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of logistics operations, including application of analytical and simulation models.
  • Synthesize project findings into actionable recommendations with demonstrable benefits in business performance
  • Support and lead projects that re-design or enhance system-support via logistics policies and processes.
  • Communicate with clients through written reports and oral presentations.
  • Coordinate and staff recommendations with multiple agencies.
  • Assist in marketing of consulting services, including market research, teaming arrangements, competitive analysis, and creation of marketing publications.
  • Assist in business performance assessment and reporting.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree required. Degree in engineering, finance, economics, operations research, mathematics, or a related discipline preferred. Years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 5-10 years of work experience.
  • Army knowledge/experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Army Sustainment and supply operations preferred.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including the ability to use spreadsheet, database, and project management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire and apply domain-specific expertise through on-the-job training and professional development training.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Current U.S. Government security clearance preferred, ability to obtain one is required.
  • Available for occasional travel.
