Human Resources Generalist I
Position Summary
Responsible for implementing and coordinating company policies and procedures covering the following programs within budgetary guidelines: shop and management performance reviews, employee communications, Service Anniversaries, Headcount Reports, assist with Affirmative Action processes, training, and other designated Human Resources & Administration departmental projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Answers questions and interprets Human Resources and Administration policies for management and shop employees.
- Attends monthly shop communication meetings, recording questions and answers and prepare minutes in a timely manner for distribution.
- May Conduct New Hire Orientations and continually reviews program so that appropriate revisions are made to presentations.
- Coordinates various Human Resources projects as directed by Human Resources leadership:
- Monitors program for applicability and recommends changes or improvements as appropriate.
- Keeps Human Resources management informed of sensitive matters involving company operations and/or policies and procedures.
- Oversite of Canteen vending, coffee, and marketplace.
- Completes monthly and quarterly headcount reports.
- Oversees Aramark uniforms for employees.
- Oversees Cintas first aid stations.
- Assists with company Affirmative Action procedures.
- Adheres to all environmental, health, safety, and quality policies in order to assist the company in reaching our goal of reducing our carbon footprint, preventing or reducing undesired effects and achieving continual improvement.
- Assists with organization and planning of assigned company events to ensure success and to maintain event costs within budgetary guidelines.
- Always acts in a professional and courteous manner, representing the company’s highest standards of business
conduct: exhibits a positive attitude, sharing information with co-workers as appropriate and works to promote a cooperative, productive teamwork environment.
- An expert on the job, makes the most of knowledge and experience and works to learn new duties.
- Assists with training of others; and adapts to changing conditions quickly and easily.
Desired Knowledge / Skills / Experience / Certifications / Licenses
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources required or 7-10years of experience.
- 7 – 10 years of experience in a Human Resources department handling recruiting, employee relation’s issues, & benefits administration.
- Requires a professional attitude along with excellent verbal and written communications skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities and a demonstrated teamwork attitude.
- SHRM-CP or HRIC-PHR preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite including charts, graphs, presentation creation.
- Familiarity with Human Resources reporting software, UltiPro, Cornerstone, Qualtrics a plus.
