Orion is NASA's spacecraft that will take humans deep into space. No other spacecraft in development has the technology needed for the extremes of deep space, such as life support, navigation, communications, radiation shielding and the world's largest heat shield that will protect astronauts and help return them safely home.
Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor building Orion. We are in the production phase and have finalized a contract for six Orion spacecraft missions and the ability to order up to 12 in total. The first spacecraft delivered on this contract, Artemis III, will carry the first woman and the next man to the surface of the Moon. Orion is a critical part of the agency's Artemis program to build a sustainable presence on the lunar surface and to prepare us to move on to Mars.

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead integration and test activities in the Denver Orion Test Labs, including:
• Certified Test Conductor (CTC)
• Artemis III hardware/software integration
• Hands-on software loads, hardware reconfiguration, and troubleshooting activities
• Full time in-person, some 2nd shift and weekend support

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering work experience
• Background in an integrated hardware and software test environment
• Demonstrated experience in anomaly troubleshooting using test equipment
• Linux commanding experience
Desired Skills:
• Previous experience executing tests as a Certified Test Conductor or equivalent test experience
• Demonstrated experience developing or executing scripts, test procedures, and analyzing test data
• Leading troubleshooting activities with a sense of urgency
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and to deliver products on schedule
• Familiarity with Orion spacecraft architecture and avionics subsystems (e.g., electrical power, command and data handling)
• Familiarity with Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)
• Automation Framework experience
• SAP/VECAMS experience
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems problem solver; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
• Electrical Connector (Mate/demate) experience
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes and procedures

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $67,400 - $129,300. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
