Lockheed Martin is Hiring a Staff Electrical Engineer Near Vineyard, UT


Description:Lockheed Martin Procerus Technologies (LMPT) is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer (EE) to join its growing engineering team. The LMPT engineering team is a multi-disciplinary group with mechanical, electrical, software and systems expertise. The team develops new products and solutions while also supporting current products. As an EE and as a leader, you will play an integral part in expanding the LMPT portfolio of platforms and programs.
In this position, the EE will apply electrical engineering skills as a member of a team engaged in the design of tactical UAS. This includes creating schematics, designing printed circuit boards, building and testing electrical assemblies, and transitioning designs from engineering development into production. The EE will work closely with mechanical engineers to design UAS subsystems such as circuit boards, antennas and wiring harnesses; with software engineers to support functional and processing requirements; and with systems engineers to ensuring the electrical hardware is successfully integrated into the overall product. The EE will contribute to quality and reliability in our products by participating in peer reviews and by thoroughly documenting all work. The EE will support our production team by working with technicians and vendors to ensure product quality and troubleshoot issues.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of analog and digital electrical theory, experience designing and analyzing circuits, familiarity with circuit test and measurement equipment, experience with a variety of circuit fabrication techniques, and enthusiasm for doing a job well and delivering an excellent product.
The EE may represent the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects, and may function in a project leadership role.
Occasional travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of principles of design pertaining to analog and digital circuits and electromagnetic interference (EMI)
- Experience with circuit design and PCB layout (Altium preferred) and experience with PCB manufacturing process
- Ability to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently, and help others to do the same
- Extensive laboratory experience using common engineering tools including oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, digital multi-meters, and other support equipment
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 9 years professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a Master’s degree
- Experience with RF, especially designing, optimizing, or testing antennas
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Products
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Experience designing to FCC standards or military standard equivalents
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Experience with development and execution of test plans
- Experience designing with and/or programming microcontrollers
- Familiarity with or experience with sUAS or RC aircraft
- Experience soldering

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
