As an Engineering and Technology (E&T) SW Engineering Associate Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the SW Engineering Mgr by managing and developing a sub-set of the ADP team (typically ~5-8 people). This will include supporting department initiatives, driving technical excellence and affordability, and, ultimately, enabling and ensuring successful program execution - all with a servant leadership mindset. Our teams adhere to Agile methods and leverage various aspects and tools (Scrum, Sprints, Program Increments) in hybrid forms throughout our programs. Some experience with Agile methods is a big plus.
For the management and development of their team, the SW Engineering Asc Mgr must be able to engage with a diverse employee base and collaborate with them on the determination of the best roles to fit their skillsets. Aside from this, this position is responsible for collaborating with Program Managers in identifying appropriate project/work assignments for each team member. The team will develop capabilities in support of technology roadmaps and support the transition of those capabilities into various production contracts across LM Aero platforms.
To drive technical excellence, affordability, and program execution, the Asc Mgr is responsible for supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and helps to ensure cost, schedule and technical commitments are met.
In addition, the Associate Manager is expected to provide technical coaching and mentoring, to champion employee career development and to provide continuous ongoing feedback to enhance the career journey of each individual on the team.
A level 4 employee Typically has 9 - 15 years of professional experience.

• Strong understanding of Agile methods.
• Demonstrated experience in software/hardware integration
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership and Culture of Accountability leadership traits.
• Familiarity with Open Mission Systems (OMS) standards and general software engineering tools and processes/methodologies (e.g. Agile/Scrum Methods, DevSecOps, Bitbucket, Git, JIRA, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience a/or certification as an Agile Product Owner a/or Scrum Master.
• Ability to handle staffing responsibilities (computer equipment/resources requests, logistics, offices, seats, repairs, facility issues).
• Ability to Travel as much as 25%, when needed.
