Description:Primary project oversite on ~10-$80 M multiyear project including construction and demolition of technical industrial, ordnance manufacturing and test as well as support areas. Manages project, processes, documentation & logs including request for information (RFI), Risk and Opportunity, safety inspection/near miss, quality control/quality assurance & punch list. Coordinates design and commissioning engineers’ inspection at critical milestones. Evaluates and approves vendor/contractor monthly reports & payment applications, evaluates construction change orders, evaluates & comments on or rejects project monthly reports including schedules. Works closely with procurement reps to manage vendors to contract.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience collaborating with project team including Program Management, Procurement Partners, Internal Customers, Construction Manager, Architects/Engineers and Construction Contractors.
• Experience with project schedules and work plans.
• Experience with Cost Estimates.
• Experience with CAM and EVM tools and techniques
• Proficiency/experience using Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Experience with project management techniques such as planning, budgeting, scheduling
Desired Skills:
• Motivated with excellent interpersonal customer skills, time management for multi-tasking several projects concurrently, and organizational strength.
• Industrial / Government design & construction experience
• Ability to motivate team building and demonstrate excellent interpersonal customer skills, time management, and organizational strength.
• Construction background including managing and negotiating with architectural & engineering firms, general contractors, and subcontractors
• Project management PMP Certification, LEED Experience
• Experience in executive communication and representing the organization through providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations.
• Familiarity with preparing and evaluating cost estimates at various stages of project maturity from preliminary concept to construction bids.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload appropriately
• Strong Oral and Written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
