Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Numerical Control Programmer Engineer Intern for a position within the Aeronautics Business Area. Numerical Control Programmer Engineers provide support for all stages of a platform’s program lifecycle. The Numerical Control Programming Engineer (N/C Programmer) discipline is consulted and responsible for development of datasets for use with computer controlled milling machines and robots.
This position will be embedded in detailed manufacturing plans, concepts, processes, and procedures. The day-to-day tasking will include working with design engineers and shop floor personnel to support production of our various platforms.

Basic Qualifications:
• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related degree plan, e.g., Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Aeronautics Engineering Technology
• Other degrees within consideration will include: Product Engineering and Assembly, Manufacturing Quality and Productivity, Manufacturing System Design, Process and Product Engineering, Materials and Manufacturing Processes, Manufacturing Process and Tool Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aero Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
• Must be a US Citizen. This position is at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
• Previous manufacturing/operations experience
• Desire to obtain an Operations role indicated by expressing interest in ‘hands-on’ applications of engineering and manufacturing principles
• Experience with CAD system
• Ability to work in a team environment demonstrated through organized group activities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
