Description:Applicant will be part of the Q-70 Supply Support team at Lockheed Martin’s RMS Virginia Beach, VA Operations Facility. In this position, primary responsibilities will include material handling support to the Q-70 Mini-Stock-Point involving the packing and shipping of new/repaired material to fill fleet requisitions. This position will include the packaging of stock for shipment and storage using MIL-STD 2073 practices. Selected candidate will also be expected to support multi-functional roles not limited to: Conducting physical inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFM): Verifying part number/revision level of electronic assemblies returned to the Virginia Beach facility for repair against approved configuration documents, and the shipping requisitions to which they should be applied: Inspection of repairable assemblies for physical damage or containment of classified materials installed: The processing of repairable assemblies through the repair cycle using established work flow procedures. Performing manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices for palletizing of material for shipment, as well as computers to maintain data: Receive incoming material or prepare materials for shipment: Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials.
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong communication and computer skills with a working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
-Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, pay close attention to details and maintain strong customer support.
-Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
-Applicant must be able to periodically lift up to 50 pounds.
-Ability to train and operate a forklift.
Desired Skills:
-Previous work dealing with electronics parts, Q70 navy-use parts, or Q70 shipboard parts experience a plus.
-Working knowledge of an automated inventory management system such as Customer Asset Visibility (CAV).
-Experience using SAP based database, preferably Common Operating System (COS).
-Experience in MIL-STD 2073 packaging specifications is a plus.
-The ability to read and understand packing slips.
-Ability to read and understand approved configuration drawings.
