looking to build a core team of highly motivated
engineers excited to work in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment. This is a rare opportunity for you to
help meet the challenges in developing and delivering
an important, exciting technology for our nation.
• You will perform as part of the Mechanical operations team, maintaining manufacturing plans, tooling requirements, engineering change implementation and coordinating changes in the build process within an electrical/mechanical spacecraft integration facility.
• Perform as a responsible engineer for safe development and execution of mechanical integration & test procedures during various satellite test phases
• Be responsible for looking ahead on what needs to be prepped for the next control point (ground support items, procedure status, flight hardware, etc.)
• Independently author manufacturing work instructions and standard operating procedures compliant with LM Space common, standard processes (FOE/FOD, drop mitigation, cleanroom protocol, etc.).
• Work closely with the ops team to provide the flow of all parts, equipment and resources needed
• Provide input into product build flow/schedule to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
• Determine sequence of operations and specify procedures for the integration of hardware, equipment and other functions that affect product performance
• Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques; ensuring processes and procedures are following CIPS (common integrated process solutions).
• Specify solutions to a variety of technical problems
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
- Experience with Mechanical, Electrical or System integration operations
- General understanding of spacecraft systems and build processes
Desired Skills:
- Familiar with SAP, VE-CAMS and Automation Framework
- General understanding of test process at space vehicle level
- CTC training
- Direct experience with ATLO or Production Operations hardware manufacturing
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $64,400 - $123,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
