Description:Lockheed Martin Pike County Operations in Troy, Alabama is seeking an Industrial Engineer responsible for:
Conducting classical Industrial Engineering activities such as time and motion studies, facility and workstation design, and process improvement activities.
Performing work measurements and time standards, productivity and performance management, capacity resource analysis, simulation modeling, cost analysis and estimating.
Supporting one or more Performance Management Team (PMT) through metric analysis and process improvement identification/implementation.
Driving continuous improvement and capturing cost savings.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small-town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.
Understanding and demonstrated application of classical Industrial Engineering tools / techniques in a production / manufacturing environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Candidate must also be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills:
Five or more years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or three or more years with a master’s.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas/solutions to all levels of management.
Relevant work experience in an automotive or aerospace manufacturing environment generating / implementing process improvements.
Lean Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt training / certification.
Production simulation tool experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
