Description:Determines method and sequence of operation, services, fabricates, diagnoses trouble, overhauls, calibrates, certifies, repairs, modifies and installs conventional and solid state, digital, microprocessor based test equipment and industrial instrumentation on equipment such as furnaces and ovens of all types, environmental chambers, coordinate measuring machines, manufacturing machines which machine and measure/inspect parts, salt pots, temperature controlled processing tanks, heated forming tooling of all types, humidity chambers, refrigerated boxes and walk-in refrigerators, resistance, arc and electron beam welders, wire mark machines, leak detectors, and safety devices. Where technical information, procedures and standards may not have been fully established and it is required to exercise a complete knowledge of dimensional and temperature measurement and control theory and application and a knowledge of temperature requirements for heated processes; modifies instrumentation as required;. Uses and maintains control systems working and reference measurement standards in accordance with National Institute of Standards and Technology and other pertinent practices and procedures.

Must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of or have completed training in the following job skills: Process/Product Monitoring and Evaluation, Blue Print Reading II, Basic Computer Operations, Measurement Theory and Practice, Shop Math, Basic Algebra, and Temperature Measurement and Control Calibration Theory and Practice.
Must be able to independently calibrate equipment in the Control Systems category.
PERFORMS SUCH RELATED DUTIES AS:
Diagnoses trouble that relate directly or indirectly to instrumentation serviced; takes corrective action or notifies responsible personnel.
Uses computer and computerized systems as required.
Initiates and/or institutes changes to calibration and test procedures.
Fabricates such items as panels, harnesses, test leads and calibration aids.
Develops or improvises precision measuring or checking devices or methods as required.
Performs work described herein on Company, customer or vendor property as assigned.
Instructs others in operation/calibration of industrial controlled processes and instrumentation.
Collaborates with vendor and responsible Company personnel in correction of problems regarding the design, operation and maintenance of industrial controlled processes.
Establishes and enters into memory programs for programmable microprocessor based instrumentation.
Cleans, lubricates and replaces part; solders as required.
Maintains industrial controls by installing new charts and batteries, refilling ink containers, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience in one of the following the Calibration of autoclaves, ovens, freezers, temperature and humidity recorders and electrical arc welders.
Desired Skills:
Experience in calibrating computer controlled equipment.
