Lockheed Martin is Hiring a RF Engineer Near Boulder, CO

Candidate will be responsible for design, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and all documentation required for the NGG satellite ground systems as assigned. This position is a hybrid hardware and radio frequency engineer position in Boulder Colorado. Work week is Flex 4/10 Mon-Thur. Evenings and weekends may be required occasionally based on program schedule (installation) or customer outages (troubleshooting).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to RF system development, design, ongoing maintenance, trouble ticket resolution, device configuration, crypto device support, system/equipment fielding and deployment, troubleshooting and other duties as assigned.
• Integrate into a small, high-performing Product Team led by a Scrum Master and Product Owner
• Support daily Scrum Meetings, and Team Demos
• Work to develop and install the components necessary to stand up the Next Gen Geo satellite ground system.
•Generate and maintain detailed design documents to include rack drawings, component specs, and interconnect diagrams.
• Participate in Technical Reviews/Interchanges and Peer Reviews.
• Work under very general supervision in support of larger team goals
• Support Ad hoc tasking and stretch assignments as outlined by Program Technical Leaders
• Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement, emphasize outcomes over metrics, and be a good teammate
• Be able to interpret complex system requirements
• The successful candidate will excel working as part of a technical team of systems engineers, network engineers, system administrators, radio frequency engineers, and hardware engineers working toward a common goal of setting up and deploying the ground system.
• The candidate will be comfortable in an ever-changing dynamic environment and work well in an agile team.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related engineering, math, or science fields
- Current HW engineering experience (for example - document reviews, peer reviews)
- Experience with onsite/lab installations
- Test equipment experience
- Adaptability
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of RF and Electrical testing equipment, i.e. Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, multimeters etc.
- Active TS/SCI preferred
- Development mindset desired
- Ability to travel to install sites
- System lifecycle and processes

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $73,500 - $140,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
