What is it like to work as Procurement Representative?
What is your mission?
As a Procurement Representative, you will source, negotiate and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for the operation of an organization.
What will you be working on?
You will compile and analyze statistical data to determine the feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives
You will evaluate areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions and monitor the performance of suppliers
You will track data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes as well as negotiate with suppliers and analyze suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• 2 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters's degree.
Desired Skills:
To be successful, ideally, you should also have:
• Experience with shipping, receiving and inventory management and processes.
• Experience working within SAP/ERP or other inventory management systems.
• Excellent customer service, organization and problem solving skills.
• You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.
• Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
